@nisabayon Who knows if it’ll actually matter, but I hope people are submitting feedback through the game about this shit and calling them out on “men don’t sell” with actual facts about how they *do* if they bother to put effort into them (Phainon). Love the game but this is infuriating

I don’t usually speak up on topics like this, but today I feel I need to. Six years ago, I downloaded a game that would quietly, profoundly change my life. Since then, I’ve made lifelong friends, discovered unforgettable music, laughed, cried, and found a community I deeply love. Even before I ever thought of streaming, FFXIV was my safe place and my comfort. It still is. Like anything, this game has always had areas to improve. That is still true today. Constructive feedback is necessary for growth. Things like friends list update, DC travel, housing demolitions, QoL, there’s so much room to do better! But I continue to play FFXIV because it brings me joy. This is the reason why I play any game, because I have fun. Lately, there’s been a wave of negativity that goes beyond critique, it feels like outrage for engagement’s sake. It’s okay to take a break due to burn out or while waiting for new content. It is valid to not like where things are going and quitting a game. But it’s not okay to tear down others for simply finding joy in something you no longer do. This game has given so much to so many, including myself, and I am looking forward to what the future holds.
