@dgriffinpix@DerbyshireCCC@ACScricket Went to this. Great memories. Saw Peter Walker giving out the scores from the other games and Richard Gilliat lifting the JPL Trophy. Insane that Barry Richards and Gordon Greenidge have played at Darley Dale. Started senior school the next day
As it’s @WorldBookDayUK just a plug for my book 50 Years ‘Not Out’, my story following Derby County since 1971. Hardback and Paperback copies available on @AmazonUK
So two years ago after my book 50 Years ‘Not Out’ was published, the hardback version has arrived 😀. If anyone would like one please pm me as I have copies available at £21.99. It’s also available on line at Amazon, Waterstones and WH Smith. An ideal stocking filler for Xmas
@dgriffinpix@DerbyshireCCC That was my first game too. Sat with my Dad in the lower tier of the Parr Stand a year before Parr’s tree was felled in gale force winds. Should of reached the final that year but completely fell apart against Middlesex after a solid start from Headley and Sharpe
@footballmemorys Went to this game at Feethams. Was postponed about 6pm on the night due to torrential rain and was played on the Monday night after we got promoted against Rotherham the previous Friday 🐏
@dgriffinpix@DerbyshireCCC I went to The Park in 1973 for the JPL match also against Glamorgan. Derbyshire won by 1 run and the game was the live Sunday afternoon game with Peter Walker. Some names who played Mike Page, Ian Buxton, Venkat, Fred Rumsey, Alan Jones, Majid Khan, Mike Llewellyn, Eifion Jones
