This is how I see the suicide bereavement report. Took 6 years to conduct; 7,158 people completed the survey; report is launched; not much response yet! All plants, need water. Sharing the report (is like water) to help influence change. #CollectiveVoice

How one of the most influential psychologists in research on human happiness ended up committing suicide. A haunting, nuanced, and brilliantly written exploration by @JenSeniorNY. One of the best pieces I've ever read in @NYTimes. [Trigger warnings] https://t.co/JRfKpTzs9u
Suicidal people deserve better than to be told the main reason they shouldn’t kill themselves is because of how it might affect others.
Suicidal people deserve love and help, not guilt trips.
Suicidal people deserve to feel like their life is worth living, worth fighting for.
@shady2405 It makes a lot of sense, I am just sorry that you feel this way. Please remember that @samaritans is available 24/7 should you feel like you need us. We will listen, & we can try to share your burden when you have no one you can speak too. You can DM me at anytime.
"Not everyone is looking for a solution. Sometimes, they just want to be heard. I think that’s something that we can all empathise with."

@xenatheworrier@twitt_twoo72@itsmymatepaddy@aDatingDad It is about what’s important to you. That is a sample size of one, (relationships on a level can be draining also). To disregard partners because they are poorer, or because they are much wealthier (from the same rationale you would then be a drain to them), is potentially sad.
@twitt_twoo72@itsmymatepaddy@xenatheworrier@aDatingDad I guess there is no ‘right or wrong’. I am certainly not critical. Personally, a physical chemistry will paint over a lot of cracks during tough times, and you are struggling if you are ethically opposed. Outside of that just embrace every relationship for its unique tapestry.
@twitt_twoo72@itsmymatepaddy@xenatheworrier@aDatingDad Some relationships were long-term, some were fleeting, but I guess none ended for financial or MH reasons. For many I was a crutch for them in those areas. I was never reticent to pay their way, whilst they would bring facets of much greater depth & value to the relationship.
@twitt_twoo72@itsmymatepaddy@xenatheworrier@aDatingDad Some of the most interesting & inspiring people I have met, don’t actually bring anything to the table financially & really don’t have their shit together emotionally/mentally. Wonderful, incredible relationships. Potentially you are stressing emphasis on the wrong commodities?
