"THE IPO WILL FAIL" - ILLEGAL PRACTICE IN NIGERIA'S BIGGEST I.P.O. (ALSO CONTAINS TEACHING)

Yah says Mr. ALIKO DANGOTE of DANGOTE GROUP OF NIGERIA is an embezzler and has made a fraudulent IPO to the Nigerian people and market. He has overvalued his company's value and overall holdings as well as personal wealth. Money has changed hands for the IPO process to go smoothly, but the Lord says a paper trail exists. He has dirty hands, and the nations that are dealing with him should be careful (those nations are South Africa and Kenya though I do not know in detail what they do with him). BE CAREFUL DEALING WITH HIM. Thus says the Lord.

Nigeria 🇳🇬 prophecy starts at 54:00.

About 2 years ago, I observed water seeping from the floor in the living room. Initially, I thought that someone had poured water on the floor. I reached for the mop and cleaned it up, but the more mopping I did, the more water surfaced.

I called a plumber that had worked for me in the past. He was always reachable. I explained what I noticed to him and how it worried me to death that water was seeping out from the tiles in the sitting room floor.

He arrived about 20 minutes later. He stared longingly at the wall, grabbed two heavy tools, went down on one knee, and raised his mallet.

"Wait. What do you want to do?" I asked.

"We go break these tiles."

"The problem is from under?"

"I don't know. Na why we go break tiles make we find out."

"Are you sure that the problem is from the ground?"

"I no know. If we break this area and we no see anything, maybe we go break am dey trace am."

It felt like setting out to lose a lot for uncertainty. The house was not mine, and getting exactly the same tile in the market could pose a challenge. My concern was further deepened by the uncertainty expressed by the specialist I had engaged. What if we broke it and found nothing?

I asked him to leave it.

"Let me think about this. I will call you back."

I paid him for his time and watched as his motorcycle roared out of my compound.

I called an engineer who does regular construction work. I asked if he knew a competent plumber that he could vouch for. He said he knew one. He linked me up, and we agreed to meet a day later.

When the gentleman plumber arrived, the water had subsided. He listened to my concern and asked me to take him round the house. Like altar servers following the priest, I led the procession while he tailed me.

"Where does this pipe go?"

"This must be the controller for the toilet."

"This pipe takes the water from the washing machine down, abi?"

He kept asking and asserting as we moved round.

By the time we were done, he had figured out the problem.

"There was an initial plan to have a wash-hand spot here, because it is close to the place that should be the dining area. Maybe they changed their mind and blocked the pipe. I think the pipe is leaking."

"But the water is coming from the tiles, not the wall."

"Yes. If it gets too much, it goes down and forces its way up."

He brought out his machine, made a square mark on the wall, and cut neatly. Within 7 minutes, we saw a pipe. Indeed, it was sealed, but water was dropping. He fixed the issue and asked me to call a mason to do the plastering.

No broken tiles, no guesswork. Precision.

When he told me his fee, the "Nigerian" in me wanted to do what clients do to us.

"XYZ thousand kẹ? Something you did within 15 minutes. Just to break small wall and place a cap on the pipe?"

But I didn't.

I recognised expertise. I recognised precision. I recognised accurate diagnosis. I recognised a professional. I appreciated the comfort that his certainty and zero propensity for guesswork brought to me.

I paid him. He threw his crossbody bag, which had his tools in it, over his neck and bounced away from my house.

No car. No motorbike. No bicycle.

"You are charging me XYZ just for a legal opinion?"

"Haaa, you want me to pay that for CAC work?"

"I have never been asked for a consultation fee by any lawyer."

"Oh, you want me to pay just to look at this small document?"

"You're too expensive. My friend's lawyer charged one-third."

Fees are not just fees. When fees are charged, they often come with an insurance or assurance that is not spelt out.

They do not need to spend days on a task to earn premium fees. A 2-page opinion could carry more weight than a 30-page one, and whether a professional drives a car or not ultimately has no nexus with their competence.

This is where the argument becomes shallow. The question isn't whether VDM has experienced the realities of insecurity or whether he has the right to talk about them. Of course he does.

The question is whether he is the appropriate person to invite into a formal setting involving the legal profession, especially when his own integrity and accountability are currently being questioned over his handling of NGO funds.

You cannot reduce the standard for such a setting to “how many SANs have faced Fulani herdsmen with guns?” That's completely beside the point. A person doesn't become the appropriate voice for a professional or institutional discussion simply because he has street experience or is willing to confront dangerous people.

There are people with deep expertise and impeccable professional records who can speak on insecurity, judicial kidnapping, terrorism, criminal justice and the realities facing Nigerians.

VDM can make his commentary online. He can raise awareness. He can share his experiences. But inviting someone into a formal professional setting is a different question. Credibility, expertise, integrity and suitability for the platform matter.

And when a person's integrity is already being publicly questioned, it is perfectly legitimate to ask whether he is the right representative or resource person for that particular setting.

This isn't about silencing VDM. It's about understanding that having something to say does not automatically make someone the appropriate person to say it in every room.

My mother’s younger sister met and married a man named Anthony Ifegwu from Abia State while they were both in Niger State. They lived together in Kpakungwu, Minna, Niger State. In January 2006, she passed away, leaving behind three young children: the daughter, born on October 18, 1994; Chibuike Monday Samuel (the first son), born on November 14, 1999; and Uchenna Precious (the younger son), born on September 12, 2002.

After their mother’s death, the eldest child their daughter came to stay with my mother, where she was raised and cared for as her own. However, their father, Anthony Ifegwu, took the two boys with him and sent someone to carry them to his village in Abia State. The exact village was unknown to our family; we had no address or contact information, making it impossible to trace them at the time.

Tragically, the person Anthony Ifegwu sent to take the boys to the village was involved in a serious accident while coming back and died. Later, Anthony Ifegwu himself died a mysterious death at home. His body was discovered only when it started decomposing and smelling.

For many years, we searched for the boys but had no leads. The daughter, now grown, has been worried and living in constant guilt for years. She has not been able to see or reconnect with her two younger brothers for over 20 years, and this long separation weighs heavily on her heart.

Then, just a week ago, my mother accompanied the daughter to visit Anthony Ifegwu’s cousin sister, who is already advanced in age. My mother hoped this elderly woman could provide information about the whereabouts of Chibuike Monday Samuel and Uchenna Precious. Unfortunately, even though she is aware of the children’s whereabouts, she refused to share any details.

To this day, the two boys remain lost to us. Their sister, who grew up under my mother’s care, is the only one of the three siblings we have been able to raise and stay connected with. The pain and guilt of not knowing what became of Chibuike Monday Samuel and Uchenna Precious continues to weigh heavily on our family, especially on their sister.

I am begging the public for help in reuniting the daughter with her two brothers. If anyone knows the whereabouts of Chibuike Monday Samuel (born November 14, 1999) and Uchenna Precious (born September 12, 2002), sons of the late Anthony Ifegwu from Abia State or if you have any information about his family, village, or relatives please come forward. Any lead, no matter how small, could help bring this family back together after more than two decades apart

Today is bigger than any one candidate.

Throughout the ongoing NBA elections, I have received reports from lawyers across the country who say they have been unable to cast their votes due to challenges with the voting process. Regrettably, I have also been unable to cast my own vote despite repeated attempts. We have records showing that the system allows people to vote twice, when it should be one member one vote.

Every eligible member of our Association deserves the opportunity to participate in a free, fair, transparent, and credible election. The integrity of our democratic process must inspire confidence in every voter.

To everyone who believes in this vision, I urge you: do not give up. Continue trying to exercise your right to vote for as long as the voting window remains open.

Leadership is tested most in difficult moments. Let us remain peaceful, resolute, and committed to protecting the credibility of our Association.

If someone cooked for me, did the laundry, ironed my clothes, waited for me at home, and bore my children, I'd be eager to get married too.

Dear colleagues,

As frustrating as this process has been for several members, please be patient with the website and exercise your suffrage. Try the following tips:

1. Clear your cache and start the process again. This is the correct link:
https://t.co/aYUinjOvXi

2. If you are using a laptop, try a phone and vice versa.

3. Ensure Do Not Disturb (DND) function is disabled on your phone. The One Time Password (OTP) is only being sent via text.

4. Be very patient with the website. It's slow and takes several seconds for a page to load 🐌

Mr. Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe needs your votes. Please do not be discouraged. Let's make the sacrifice for him.

[Oluwaseunfunmi @theseunfunmib]

@The_Ogundipe Try it again. I had the same problem. But I tried now on my phone and it went through

[Oluwaseunfunmi @theseunfunmib]

@NajeebAdamu1 I even received otp but after inputting it, it says otp authentication invalid and says to request another. It’s really sad!

[Oluwaseunfunmi @theseunfunmib]

@favouryuwa @Legal_hotkake @instablog9ja @Wizarab10 I tried with laptop as you advised, now the problem is the site keeps saying the otp sent to me is invalid. I’m tired 😴

[Oluwaseunfunmi @theseunfunmib]

@favouryuwa @Legal_hotkake @instablog9ja @Wizarab10 I’m not even allowed to access the site! It’s saying access restricted

And another thing I'll say on this issue. The breadwinner wives are a lott more than we think. They'll pay rent, school fees, house upkeep, groceries, child care, meds, cook and clean. But majority are SILENT coz they protect their husband's ego and that's why we think it's just+
