Every clip in our catalogue is recorded by a real person in their own environment: homes, streets and workplaces from Lagos to the Visayas to Addis Ababa.
That is the acoustic world voice AI is deployed into.
It is rarely the one it is tested on.
Long-tail languages used to be research projects at the big labs.
In 2026 they're on commercial roadmaps.
That changes the data question. A research demo can run on read speech. A product launch in Lagos or Cebu can't.
That’s where I see the connection with $SLC.
If AI products are going into markets like Lagos or Cebu, companies are going to need more than a language being listed as supported.
They need to understand how that language is actually spoken.
• Regional expressions
• Everyday conversations
• Different accents and dialects
That’s the gap @silencioNetwork is going after.
Silencio's network is collecting speech from real people, on real devices, in real environments, across 1,000+ languages and dialects combined and 180+ countries.
The more AI companies expand into new markets, the more valuable real, local, consented speech data becomes.
Silencio has solved scalability and they've built the missing noise and voice data layer, which continues to expand.
I predict big AI labs and big tech will continue to look at companies like Silencio for noise and speech data.
@marjidofficial My HND Certificate, my two phones and that's all for now
@marjidofficial Lol 😂
Na CHATGPT boss
Code-switching is where voice assistants break.
Hindi to English and back, mid-sentence. People do it without noticing. Models trained on one language at a time notice every time.
It is almost never read aloud, so it has to be recorded the way people talk. We collect it to spec.
@ildefonsogv And CREPE?
@Will_binance Have we all forgotten CREPE?

Our speech data is recorded by ~2.5M contributors across ~180 countries, on their own phones, where they live and work.
Each one is paid per recording, with a consent record for every speaker.
That is why the accents in it are the accents real users have.

How do you say "hello" in your language?
@onyiajames85 @silencioNetwork I don't think pinging inactive ref or users is necessary. One who is not serious is not serious. The serious ones will always come...
Talking about Nigerian-accented English, it depends on clients demands
DID YOU KNOW?:
Your native language could be use to train AI, shape the future Technology, manchine and robotics while you still earn from it.

@onyiajames85 I meant it's fair to have 20m SLC stored on my wallet
@onyiajames85 What?
Interspeech Sydney: 4 days at the world's biggest speech AI conference, a booth between Google and Meta, sole sponsor of Indigenous Voices Day, and one conclusion from every top AI lab: the era of under-resourced languages is here to stay.
The follow-up list is long. Lets go.
