@majinlezly @CTVToronto Exactly. One of my colleagues husband was in a Florida hospital for 48 hours due to abdo pain. He was 35yo. The bill months later arrived it was $48,000 USD. Could you imagine if he stayed one month. The insurance covered it. But she brought the bill to work for us to see!

@JimboAlogo @CTVToronto You know nothing about the Canadian healthcare system. This woman travelled to a FOREIGN country with NO travel insurance. Also spent one month in hospital. Compared to the USA billing she got off CHEAP. Now pay the remaining bill as she is classified as FEE for SERVICE patient!

@CTVToronto Not sure why this is the NEWS. Great job Waterloo Hospital. - tell them to pay up. Non-Ontarians must pay. She lives in the USA would you not know $$$ is required for hospital stays. It's not a charity. Know your risks. Buy Travel insurance- always. Now, true news is next! 😡
