@MajicLFC Ekitike didn't get the ball, but the GK punched him in the side of the face first before he punched the ball away. Didn't realise you could do that.
You couldn’t make it up. The urgent need for reform of the British media has just been perfectly exemplified by BBC Breakfast bringing on Kelvin MacKenzie to talk about integrity in journalism.
This is the individual who published truly horrific - and now completely discredited - lies and smears about Hillsborough victims and survivors in the S*n after the tragedy. Lies that continue to cause so much harm to so many even today.
Shame on BBC Breakfast.
The rule is that the obvious action has to clearly impact on the ability of an opponent to play the ball. Donnarumma saw the ball all the way through - even without Robertson ducking - and just couldn’t get there. The fullback’s movement didn’t change anything.
The moral of the window, then: if you kick up enough of a fuss and sully your reputation at a club, you get what you want. If you do everything by the book with total respect for your club, you get screwed over. I feel for Marc Guehi tonight. Been denied a career-changing move.
Funny that, for all the stick Alexander Isak has taken, Marc Guehi’s reward for going about getting his move to Liverpool in a ‘classy’ way was to not get the move at all.
