If there is a purpose in birth, why does death hold more weight in our decisions?
If there is salvation of the soul in life, what would that look like?
If there is reward after death, why do we deserve it?
How can you understand the depth of your spirit without battle?
How can you understand the plight of others without suffering?

Tuesday energy—
"We are attracted to the manly man because he imparts some of his confidence to everyone else. He not only knows what justice requires, but he acts on his knowledge, making and executing the decision that the rest of us tremble even to define. He knows what he is doing, himself, but in a large sense he represents human competence to all of us. He is a manly man asserting the worth of the human being."
- Harvey Mansfield
@tedytadesse111 Once you feel it, you must acknowledge and engage it.
You must understand that lust wants you to feel pity for yourself after you indulge in it.
Exercise is the number one relaxant to calm down lust.
Piano, reading, writing are other ways.
When lust is engaged through scrolling or imagination.
When the soul feels shame and guilt for indulging.
First it is bombarded by the vastness of stimuli.

Pride can distort one's mind into oblivion.
It is not an easy feat to set aside the ego.
For it was made to encourage oneself.
But at times it can hinder progress and destroy momentum.
It is not a crime to question your beliefs.
It is an act of cowardice if you change them frequently.
Either you have not done enough thinking and are easily swayed.
Or you do not care enough to try.
@juansmith0123@KnowsPascal True.
Freud argued the opposite.
He believed all anxiety stemmed from the suppression of sexual desires.
There's a lengthy paper on it.
@SdeSilentio This is very similar to Geffroi de Charney's "Book of Chivalry."
It is incredible how many warriors thought alike even though never meeting each other.
Fasting purifies the mind.
The Spartans used to say "full bellies don't plough fields."
Hinduism views it as 'brahma', behaving like God.
It is a great beginning for self-restraint.
Is it fear or is it smart?
There is a deep sense of shame when the heart yields to what it believes is fear.
Sometimes, it is the best move and there is nothing to prove.
This is the spiritual war.
@SeffSaid Yes.
But this mindset is not automatic and given by affirmation.
It is molded through maturity and painful experiences.
Then it is likely you will accept yourself.
@Pat_Stedman He came to the realization without spirituality, one becomes unaware of the deep emotions they possess.
They are controlled easier by repressive thinking and liable to repeat the same mistakes.
