I think most of the other OEMs are on the sideline, watching. With all the updates over the years, it wouldn’t have made a lot of sense to bring in a constantly evolving set of hardware and software.

However, as soon as the evolutionary changes become more stable and FSD goes non-supervised, so many people will be compelled to buy FSD (regardless of the car make- currently only Tesla) that other OEMs will be market pressured to bring the completed selling prop (FSD) to their vehicles.

I’d like to simply say thank you for creating a much better driver in FSD than nearly all humans.

Today on the highway, GMC from the far left lane completely cuts lanes of traffic, a keep out zone, in a construction area, and nearly hits a median……while my CT on FSD is making a legal lane change into the left lane. Watching back, this guy was risking a bunch of lives here.

Haven’t experienced a truly evasive action until today. It performed incredibly well, and reacted much faster than I ever could have. This guy was in my blind spot and I never saw it coming.

I reacted only because of the sudden, and called for, evasive action taken by fsd.

Been driving on FSD since 2018 and it started off not great…..but now, it’s absolutely incredible.

Side note- this happened so fast. It was much more chaotic than it seems on dashcam video:

Seems that a natural progression would be using Tesla camera inputs so in-car Grok could respond verbally to your actual surroundings?

For example “……the parking lot where we’re going looks really full and there’s a line out the door- wanna go somewhere else?” OR “…..hey it’s pretty windy, you may want to move that shopping cart so it doesn’t accidentally roll into you car….”

@elonmusk hey Elon. Can we get control of offset so speeds are set differently based on read speed limits? Simple table would work. Currently one offset only. Example: +7 offset in a 70: adequate for me. +7 offset in a 30: too fast for me, would rather that be +3. Can we do this?

@elonmusk Using AP, I find myself sometimes camping in someone’s blind spot for longer than I feel comfortable. Detecting, then auto-mitigating this via speed settings would be amazing. Can you see something like this happening?

@elonmusk A good integration of Ingress as an overlay to the current map (like the mars rover), and functional, would be very cool.
