US Senate Delays CLARITY Act As Other Priorities Take Over

The U.S. Senate has delayed consideration of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act as lawmakers turn to Russia sanctions and federal nominations.

Majority Leader John Thune is expected to prioritize those measures first, leaving the crypto market structure bill waiting for floor time.

Negotiations over a provision restricting senior government officials from backing crypto projects also remain unresolved.

The Senate is now unlikely to vote on the Clarity Act before next week.
