I love California, but the politics here disgusts me. We’re apparently the best most progressive state in the country yet have the highest incarcerated population per capita in the nation. We apparently care about the homeless yet had the highest population of homeless people in the nation.
When will California actually live up to the California dream?
Gavin Newsom is in California today criticizing Donald Trump for being at a fundraiser.
I remember when Gavin Newsom made us all stay in our houses during Covid and decided to go to the French laundry while people lost their jobs in their livelihoods.
Hey Gavin, I heard you like them dumb. You should take that stuff to a different country because we don’t fuck with that here.

WAKE UP AMERICA! There will be no Pearl Harbor this time.
No burning fleet. No date to circle on a calendar. No Sunday morning that makes a divided country suddenly remember it's one nation. That's not an accident. That's the entire strategy. They watched an empire die because it woke America up — and they decided to take the same empire without ever firing the shot that makes you care.
By the time you feel it, it will already be over. Let me show you how.
—
It starts in your wallet, because that's the only place most people will let themselves feel it first.
Taiwan makes about 92% of the world's most advanced semiconductors. One company — TSMC — sits inside your phone, your car, your bank, your hospital, the AI everyone won't shut up about. There is no backup. There is no "we'll just build them here" that arrives in time.
The economists have run it: a war over Taiwan costs the world around $10.6 trillion in the first year alone. A tenth of the entire global economy. Bigger than COVID and the 2008 crash stacked on top of each other.
And remember the 2021 chip shortage? The one that helped hand you the worst inflation in forty years? That was a sliver. A paper cut. What we're talking about is the artery.
An oil shock is a bruise. A chip shock is an amputation — and it's the working family, the one already living paycheck to paycheck, that loses the limb.

But the money is just the opening act. Because once the cork comes out of the bottle, the map itself starts to fall.
Taiwan is that cork. It's the island that has kept China's navy penned in since 1945. Pull it, and Japan gets strangled next — not invaded, strangled. Japan imports almost all of its energy and its food, and those lifelines run straight through the waters a Taiwan-owning China would control. You don't need to land a single soldier in Tokyo to bring Japan to its knees. You just need your hand around its throat at sea.
Then Australia is on the chopping block. Strip away its northern shield, lean on its dependence on China as its biggest customer, and you have an entire continent forced to negotiate from weakness.
And here is the part that should stop you cold, because you already know this story:
This is the exact empire Imperial Japan reached for in 1941. Dominate the Pacific. Own the sea lanes and the resources. Push America out of Asia. Japan came within arm's reach of it. And the only reason the dream died wasn't that it was impossible —
it was Pearl Harbor.
Attacking the U.S. fleet turned a regional conquest into a war with the one nation on Earth that could reverse it, and it fused a bickering, isolationist America into a single fist overnight.
That is the mistake Beijing has studied line by line. And Beijing does not intend to repeat it. The gray-zone pressure. The civilian ferries rehearsing invasions in plain sight. The slow encirclement. The propaganda whispering to 23 million people that no one is coming for them. All of it is engineered to win the exact war Japan lost — without ever firing the shot that wakes you up.
Swallow the cork quietly. Strangle Japan with economics instead of bombs. Let Australia drift out to sea alone. No Sunday morning. No rallying cry. Nothing to unite you.
Pearl Harbor was Japan's error. China's whole plan is to take the prize and skip the error.

Now here's the cost nobody puts a price on — and it's the one that should hit you in the soul.
Their method even has a name. The anaconda strategy. Not one killing blow. A slow coil that tightens a little more every single day, so gradually the prey never panics, until one morning it simply can't breathe.
Wrap that coil around the world and it doesn't just squeeze chips and shipping lanes. It squeezes something we have grown lazy and careless with, because not one of us has ever had to live a day without it.
Look at us right now. We act like we hate each other. We sort ourselves into tribes, we scream past one another, and half the time we don't even talk — we just perform our contempt for the crowd. It's ugly. It's exhausting. You're sick of it. I'm sick of it.
But get it through your head what that noise actually is: it is the sound of a free people arguing out loud, in the open, unafraid. It's the most precious thing we own, and we treat it like garbage because we've never seen the alternative up close.
In the world the anaconda is building, that noise is the first thing that dies. Disagreement becomes a risk. Speaking your mind becomes a calculation you run before every sentence. Being fully, honestly yourself in front of your own neighbor becomes a habit you quietly train yourself out of — until you forget you ever had it.
So let me say it as plainly as a man can say anything:
I would rather be surrounded by people I am absolutely convinced are idiots — and be free to tell them so, and free to open my whole heart to them anyway — than be surrounded by geniuses in a country where I can never once reveal who I truly am.
The freedom to be wrong out loud, together, is not a small thing. It is not a bonus feature. It is the whole thing. It is the only thing. And it is exactly what a strangled world loses first, while you're too busy fighting your countrymen over everything except the one enemy that would take the fight itself away from all of you.
—
Now the good news, because there is some, and you deserve to hear it.
The fix is not a fantasy. It is not even expensive. It works by making the invasion simply never happen.
It's called the porcupine. You don't try to out-muscle China ship for ship. You make swallowing Taiwan so painful that no one on Earth is willing to try. Swarms of cheap drones. Anti-ship missiles. Sea mines. An entire strait turned into an unmanned hellscape that no invasion fleet survives crossing — the Pacific commander has said those very words. Ukraine already proved the concept when cheap drones sent a superior navy to the bottom of the Black Sea.
Arm Taiwan fast. Build the weapons with them. Stitch Japan and Australia and the Philippines into one unbreakable line so the dominoes are bolted to the floor and can't be picked off one at a time. Bring the chips home over the years it takes.
It costs pennies next to $10.6 trillion. And here is the cruel joke at the center of it: if it works, nothing happens. There's no parade for a war that never came. Just an ordinary decade. Cheap goods. A middle class that keeps its footing. A world that stays free enough to keep insulting itself in public.
Which is exactly why we keep ignoring it. We don't reward the disaster that never arrives. So we'll pocket the savings, look away, and hand our children a leash we were too distracted to cut.
—
So here is the only question that actually matters.
You are not going to get an alarm. There is no fleet coming over the horizon to snap this country awake, because they are far too smart to give you one. The ships are already gathering. The ferries are already rehearsing. The coil is already tightening around all of it while you scroll.
This — right here — is the only warning you're going to get.
Two futures run through one small island. In one, we spend pocket change on a porcupine and keep a peace so quiet nobody ever thanks us for it. In the other, we save the money, stay asleep, and pay for it in every checkout line in America — while Japan is strangled, Australia is cornered, and the empire that died at Pearl Harbor is quietly rebuilt by the one power patient enough never to make the same mistake.
The cork is still in the bottle. For now.
So tell me, out loud, while you still can: which would you rather have — the freedom to call your neighbor an idiot to his face, or a genius's silence in a country that owns your tongue?
Choose. And say it where people can hear you.
I hate communism.
You arent allowed to think.
They are Godless.
I would rather be surrounded by 300 million idiots in the US and be able to share what is in my heart, rather than be surrounded by idiots and have to suppress what is in my soul.
