This is torture on live TV
If @Subhashgarg1960 had thrown any more facts at her - this @ndtv intern-anchor would have burst out in tears.
Imagine, trying to counter the former Finance Secretary, by lecturing him on the 'sanctity' of Govt numbers🤦🏻♂️
This man here has a passion for speaking a lot and making no sense. 465 words of bluster and deflection - without addressing Subhash Chandra Garg’s basic claim.
Let’s make this simple.
GDP growth is indeed 7.8% if you compare the revised Q1 figure of roughly ₹80 lakh crore last year with ₹88.27 lakh crore this year.
But that is not Garg’s argument.
His argument is that Q1 last year was originally reported at roughly ₹86 lakh crore (see image 3).
Now, for the purpose of calculating this year’s growth, that same Q1 figure has been revised down to roughly ₹80 lakh crore (see image 4).
And that matters.
Because:
₹86 lakh crore → ₹88.27 lakh crore = roughly 2.6% growth.
Whereas:
₹80 lakh crore → ₹88.27 lakh crore = 7.8% growth.
So the question Malviya spends 465 words avoiding is very simple:
Why was the previously reported Q1 GDP figure revised downward by roughly ₹6 lakh crore?
Because until that question is answered, shouting “7.8%” louder does not address the controversy.
It is really fascinating how the tone immediately changes the second one starts to question the government narrative. It is like a light switch.
NDTV might have forgotten, but you must remember: It is healthy to question narratives and statistics.
BREAKING 🚨
This is hilarious 🤣🤣
As per top sources, many godi media channels were planning to call genuine economists like SC Garg and Raghuram Rajan to discuss 7.8% growth and sing praises for Modi's policies
But since the video went viral where SC Garg exposed the godi propaganda on one famous channel, it has been decided that only people like Poonawala will be invited to debates and do chest thumping else they may again get humiliated 😭
If PM Modi believes growth is good why is he telling Indians not to buy gold, or travel overseas etc?
Because he knows exactly how worrying the state of the economy is.
Valid concerns have been raised on the GDP growth data - numbers don’t make sense
It’s humanly impossible to watch a nuclear meltdown.
But it’s possible to watch a Godi media anchor melt down in real time: brows knotted, lips pursed, eyes widening in disbelief, and hands rising in helpless protest as the carefully constructed fake GDP edifice falls apart on her face.
Subhash Garg has punctured the government’s tall claims of 7.8% GDP growth, arguing that India’s real GDP growth is closer to 2.6%.
His contention is even more damning: the previous year’s GDP growth was revised downward, making this year’s growth rate look stronger by comparison.
His assessment seems far closer to the lived reality of ordinary Indians — rising prices, falling purchasing power, shrinking disposable incomes and savings, stagnant job opportunities, and rising household debt.
These claims cannot simply be dismissed. They come from someone who served as Finance and Economic Affairs Secretary of the Government of India under Modi between 2017 and 2019.
The government now owes the country a clear explanation:
Why were last year’s GDP numbers revised downward? Why is it fudging numbers? What is the real GDP growth?
𝟕.𝟖% 𝐆𝐃𝐏 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚, 𝟐.𝟔% 𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲
Former Finance Secretary in the Modi Govt, Subhash Chandra Garg, has exposed how the Modi government has fudged GDP figures.
As per Garg, the government deliberately revised last year's GDP numbers downward to artificially inflate this year's growth rate. If the figures had not been fudged, 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐃𝐏 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝟐.𝟔%, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝟕.𝟖%.
This isn't speculation. The Modi government's own fudged data is exposing the government's lie.
Garg's warning says it all:
"Recognise the reality of the Indian economic situation that 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡."
While the Modi government is celebrating fudged figures of 7.8%, it is hiding the real economic distress of the country.
MASSIVE EXPOSE 🤯
Economist & Former Finance Secy Subhash Chandra Garg revealed that actual GDP growth rate is 2.6%, NOT 7.8%
He exposed Modi Govt based on its own data, not speculations.
Watch how shamelessly NDTV anchor tried to shut him down, but he didn’t stop.
This is shocking 🤯
Former Finance Secretary Subhash Garg has said that the real GDP is around 2.6% and nowhere close to 7.8% as reports suggest
Journalist tried a lot to downplay him but he didn't take a step back

Bhati –– Two
Journalist –– Yes, him and him
Bhati 😂 –– Sorry, there are three BJP leaders including you
Journalist –– Why are you saying that?
Bhati 😂 –– Your are speaking BJP's language
Journalist –– Show aggression on some other channel
