Call for Papers closing on January 31st for our conference in Innsbruck, Austria, TBLT 2022. We are still planning this as a face-to-face event, in common with several other conferences in Europe in 2022, but we will continue to monitor the pandemic situation.
A task a day keeps the __ away... Complete the sentence. 😅
Starting tomorrow, on the TBLT Task Bank IG and FB profiles, we'll share one task per day, designed for teaching one of the 7 languages we have at the bank right now.
7 days = 7 tasks in 7 different languages!
The Task Bank was created BY teachers FOR teachers, 👨🏿🏫🔗👩🏽🏫 to support them in their search for language learning tasks that can be adapted and implemented in their classrooms.
Tag a teacher you think would benefit from meeting the Task Bank!! And thanks for the support!💙
Are you part of an organized group/association of teachers? Sharing tips, materials, teaching inspiration? Share the TASK BANK with your community! 🤝
Or send us an e-mail or message and we would love to contact them directly and introduce the Task Bank to your community!
Curious to know what that was? Are you interested in understanding how tasks can influence the language used by learners in class? Find out here:

Tasks & Research
The "Personal Trust Foundation" task appeared in the article: "Task complexity, focus on L2 constructions, and individual differences: A classroom-based study" written by Révész in 2011 and published in the Modern Language Journal.
It also considered learners' linguistic self‐confidence, anxiety, and self‐perceived communicative competence. Effects on individual differences were not significant BUT, interesting trends for the relationship of syntactic complexity, accuracy, and lexical diversity appeared.
@Prof_F_Henshaw @Claferpar This is done to ensure that the tasks we have there are REALLY tasks. Then, once we have enough samples of what a task is, we can open it to the public. 🥰
@Prof_F_Henshaw @Claferpar Yes AND no. 😅
Members of the IATBLT already have an account on the site and can upload as many tasks they want, at any time. If you are not a member yet, you can e-mail us the task you'd like to upload, then, we can grant you access.
