Negative spirals are a thing man, I don’t know if you know?

There’s a way the universe works; if you’re caught up in that spiral, nothing will work for you; you’ll just be there holding on, struggling to stay alive.

I remember vividly between late 2021- and late 2022, I was in the mother of all negative spirals, nothing was working; I invested 10s of millions in a business that later failed after all the effort I could possible generate. The investment in that business, coupled with the crippling post-Covid economy killed one other major business I had. Everything that could possibly go wrong was going wrong. Bruh!

I don’t share my problems with people but at a point I felt like giving up and just walking off into an abyss. Using the last strength in me, I’d wake up every other day and tweet, “Stay alive, it’s very important”, people will RT and others will make jokes out of it. What they didn’t know was: that was the only word of affirmation left that kept me going.

Some friends, with knowledge of what was going on will just dash me money every now and then (they won’t like me mentioning their names. B!!).

One afternoon I messaged a friend, a rich man, “bro please help me, I’m not begging for money, but I’m down bad, if you have any opportunities, please mention my name, you know i am very resourceful and diligent, I can do a lot.” He was moved, came down to Abk and we had a long talk about how ups and downs work. All he said was, “Jack, give it time, things will turn around”.

That line, prayers and music (about tough times and triumph) were the things that got me through that turbulent period.

Now I don’t joke with prayers, and soulful music.
