@m966021@HHS3239 We aren’t automatons that all believe the same exact thing. If we did, we would be a cult. There can be differing opinions on whether someone is doing a good job of proclaiming the Gospel or not.
@AL_J82 Where were the Protestants when Ottomans was enslaving and killing Orthodox Christians?!?! My question makes about as much sense as your dumb question…
@RedPilledAgent0@ImperiumFirst I don’t think he’s a grifter, I think he’s just a contrarian what impulsively takes the opposite position to anything he deems to be mainstream
@ManassehRJones@pbcmike98 The word “faith” is a translation of the Greek word “pisteos”. This is the Greek word for fidelity, loyalty, commitment. We are called to loyalty to Christ.
@ManassehRJones@pbcmike98 It makes perfect grammatical sense to say “in”. Works of the Law are referring to the Jewish Law. The verse is saying that we must have fidelity (faith) to Christ, not to the Jewish Law if we wish to be justified.
@ManassehRJones@pbcmike98 Not in the context of that verse.
Now I will answer yours. The word “of” doesn’t exist in that verse the Greek or in any other translation. It was a bad translation that was fixed when the NKJV was done.
@ManassehRJones@pbcmike98 It seems awfully presumptuous of you to think that you know whether my faith is salvific or not. I think I will rely on God to make that decision.
