adhd executive dysfunction sucks because I'm just sitting there and my brain is like
YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING
no work done no rest gained. literally no point of this at all.
This paragraph by Richard Feynman hits so hard:
βFall in love with some activity, and do it! Nobody ever figures out what life is all about, and it doesnβt matter. Explore the world. Nearly everything is really interesting if you go into it deeply enough. Work as hard and as much as you want to on the things you like to do the best. Donβt think about what you want to be, but what you want to do. Keep up some kind of a minimum with other things so that society doesnβt stop you from doing anything at all.β
Going back to physical books π
Compared with audiobooks they are much slower to read, but they are much more efficient because I manage to learn and retain more plus I take notes in them.
You feel much more present when physically touching the pages too
Grandpa was right
We all felt it when Dostoevsky said:
From the outside, you seem mature, with a philosopher's mind, but inside, you're just a child lost in sweet delusion.
