Are we just forgetting the major elephant in the room here; Supergirl was being made and helmed into production around the time that Superman was to witch at the very same time Gunn was tasked with writing CC s1 and Peacemaker Season 2 on top of the movie he was directing; that was a particular reason why he wasn't as involved in the process with Supergirl and now with him doing only Man of Tomorrow and he's being very selective of what projects he is writing on and directing; that will make him more involved.

This notion that they should 'fire him' is just asinine.
