A video showing the messy aftermath of a protest by Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has gone viral, drawing sharp criticism over the lack of civic responsibility.
Filmed by @PrateekUvacha, the 15-second clip reveals multiple discarded compartment food trays, half-eaten meals, plastic bags, and wrappers strewn along a concrete ledge beside a fence.
Many users noted the irony: well-dressed, middle-class participants — often vocal online about public cleanliness — left behind what appeared to be catered meals.
“These same people lecture others on civic sense,” one commenter wrote.
Others questioned who funded the generous food packets and tagged Delhi Police, demanding the organisers be billed for cleanup.
The episode has reignited broader discussions on protest etiquette and public hygiene in India, with netizens calling for greater accountability from event organisers.

A ‘massive’ protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar turned contentious on Saturday as young demonstrators chanted “Azadi, Azadi” during a rally linked to grievances over the NEET examination.
The event, organised under the banner of the “Cockroach Janta Party,” drew crowds of students demanding reforms in the medical entrance test.
An on-ground report by digital media outlet ‘The Pamphlet’ captured the moment as they approached participants amid the noisy gathering.
When asked a pointed question about their specific demands, the responses reportedly exposed inconsistencies, shifting the conversation from education issues to broader political slogans.
The reporter approached one of the protester, Himanshu, who said, the issue should be the paper-leak and must be diverted. He said, the ‘Azadi’ slogans made them step-aside during the protest.
'The Pamphlet’ described the scene as evidence of “Tukde-Tukde gang” infiltration, claiming the protest’s narrative collapsed under scrutiny.
Supporters of the demonstration insist it remains a genuine student-led movement against alleged irregularities in NEET-UG.

Former Tamil Nadu BJP president and ex-IPS officer K. Annamalai has announced his exit from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
In a statement issued Friday, Annamalai said he had taken the decision “after much thought” and would now step away from the party to “reflect on the actual purpose of my entering politics, and sail where the winds take me in the future.”
"National Parties never spoke the language that people in Tamil Nadu understood,” he further wrote.
Annamalai said he informed the party that he wanted to quit in December, 2025. He was then asked to quit after the completion of the elections.
"It was a great conflict whether I am a BJP person or a Tamilian. I told the party on 4 December 2025 that I am going to resign. The party asked me to finish the elections and then go,” he further added.
Annamalai, who resigned from the Indian Police Service in 2021 to join the BJP, rose quickly within the party.
He served as state president, led aggressive campaigns against the ruling DMK, and contested the 2021 Assembly polls from Aravakurichi and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Coimbatore.
Though he failed to win either seat, he remained a visible face of the BJP’s efforts to expand in Tamil Nadu.
Annamalai will start his own political party, targeting the next Assembly elections.
🚨BIG | Assam AASU President seeks action against ‘Love Jihad’, says concerns cannot be rejected;

All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) leader Utpal Sarma has warned that the growing public discourse on “Love Jihad” in Assam cannot be brushed aside, stating that ignoring the issue will not make the underlying concerns vanish.
Speaking on the sensitive subject, Sarma made it clear that his organisation has no objection to marriages between consenting adults of different religions.
He pointed out that the Constitution and the Special Marriage Act already provide legal avenues for such unions.
However, Sarma expressed serious concern over cases where young women from one religious community are allegedly targeted through harassment or deception.
He said the problem arises when individuals conceal their religious identity to build relationships, sometimes reaching a stage where the woman finds it extremely difficult to withdraw even after the truth surfaces.
“Whenever such incidents multiply in society, discussions around ‘Love Jihad’ naturally emerge,” he noted.
Sarma cautioned that repeated occurrences of this nature could disturb social harmony, inflame religious tensions and threaten the peaceful coexistence of different communities in Assam.

What started as a single shareholder complaint has now turned into one of the biggest corporate investigations in recent Indian market history.
On March 11, 2024, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) received a complaint from a shareholder of Rajesh Exports, raising concerns about large unpaid trade receivables that had remained outstanding for years.
What initially appeared to be a routine financial issue soon led to a wider investigation into the company’s finances and business operations.
SEBI appointed an investigating authority in October 2024 and later engaged BDO India Services as a forensic auditor.
Over the following months, the regulator sought sales records, vendor details, subsidiary accounts, transaction data, and access to accounting systems.
According to SEBI, several requests were either unanswered or only partially addressed.
The forensic auditor also reported difficulties in verifying transactions due to the alleged absence of key records and supporting documents.
In an interim order issued on June 3, 2026, SEBI alleged discrepancies of nearly ₹15.15 lakh crore in revenues reported between FY21 and FY25 and barred chairman Rajesh Mehta from dealing in company securities until further orders.
However, Rajesh Exports has denied all allegations, saying its revenues are genuine. But the investigation remains ongoing.

🚨BIG | ”Higher-qualified candidates cannot claim jobs meant for lower qualifications” Supreme Court observes;
In an important ruling, the Supreme Court of India has said that “candidates with higher educational qualifications cannot claim jobs that are specifically meant for people with lower qualifications”.
The Court observed that allowing overqualified candidates to secure such posts “would reduce opportunities for those for whom the jobs were originally intended”.
It also stated that hiding higher qualifications during recruitment is “unfair and affects the integrity of the selection process”.
The judgment came while hearing a case involving a temporary bank attendant employed by Syndicate Bank.
The post was reserved for candidates who had studied only up to Class 10.
However, it was later discovered that the employee was a graduate and had failed to disclose this information while applying for the job.
Further, the apex court said that government and public sector employers are expected to act fairly and provide equal opportunities to eligible candidates.
It emphasized that recruitment must strictly follow the eligibility conditions mentioned in the official notification.
Referring to previous judgments, the Court clarified that possessing a higher qualification does not automatically give a person the right to apply for a post requiring lower qualifications.
The Court set aside the Madras High Court’s order that had reinstated the employee and upheld his removal from service, stating that the appointment itself was invalid.

🚨ALARMING | Assam’s Birth Rate Hits Record Low, Enters New Demographic Era With Shrinking Workforce;
To everyone’s shock, Assam has entered a new demographic phase as the state’s fertility rate has dropped to a historic low, according to the latest National Family Health Survey (NFHS-6).
The survey reveals that Assam’s Total Fertility Rate (TFR) has fallen to 1.6 children per woman, well below the replacement level of 2.1 and lower than India’s national average of 2.0.
In urban areas, the fertility rate has dropped even further to just 1.2, a level similar to countries such as Singapore, South Korea and several European nations.
The decline marks a major shift in the state’s population trend. Assam’s TFR stood at 2.2 in NFHS-4 (2015–16), dropped to 1.9 in NFHS-5 (2019–21), and has now reached 1.6 in NFHS-6 (2023–24).
Experts attribute the decline to improved education, better healthcare, greater use of contraception and delayed marriage and childbirth among women.
Contraceptive use among married women has increased to 71 percent, while adolescent motherhood has fallen significantly.
However, experts warn that the trend could create future challenges.
A shrinking young population may lead to a smaller workforce, while the number of elderly citizens is expected to rise sharply.
The findings suggest Assam is nearing the end of its demographic dividend phase, prompting calls for stronger investments in jobs, skills, healthcare and social security to prepare for an ageing society.
