I’ve been thinking, what if neighborhoods created community power grids where households with solar setups can sell excess electricity to nearby homes at affordable rates? Instead of wasting stored energy, we’d build a localized power-sharing network that reduces dependence on the unreliable national grid.
It’s already being practiced in more advanced regions like the U.S., Germany and Australia, where p2p energy trading allows residents to exchange clean power within their communities. With blockchain technology, every transaction and usage can be recorded transparently, ensuring trust, fairness and accountability.
Nigeria could easily adopt this model. Community power exchange might just be the missing link to sustainable, decentralized electricity across our neighborhoods.
All we need
1. A few solar-powered homes ✅
2. Smart metering system ✅
3. Blockchain/ledger app ✅
4. Cooperative registration ✅
5. Local technician for wiring ✅
6. Payment integration (USSD, crypto, or transfer) ✅
The ending leaves it to your imagination. One city falls, the President retaliates and the others answers back. It’s meant to be left unsaid, the rest writes itself: mutual annihilation.
This month, I walk in abundance, divine health and endless open doors. Every plan aligns, every move prospers and I triumph over all adversaries seen and unseen. Amen.
