@bloretta561 @MarshaBlackburn You know what's funny? At the local supermarket, the ORGANIC brand of canned ravioli is cheaper than Chef Boyardee, and the ORGANIC canned ring noodles than Spaghetti-O's. Usually those have been significantly more expensive even though they were no-name brands.

@ThunderHeadFan Actually, the first letter of "SSI" stands for "Supplemental" (it's a common mistake). The funds for SSI come from a different source.

As those who get SSI tend to be those who haven't worked long enough to qualify for SSD, we tend to be put on the chopping block first.
