Elsevier is one of the largest, most hated and most influential academic publishing companies in the world.
How it started & how it's going
A thread🧵
@MedCrisis His every podcast episode starts with an insanely long commercial for the supplements he promotes, that itself should be a sure shot red flag about where his true intent lies
@netshrink The aim should be to create a circular economy around EVs with near complete recycling of EVs at the end of their life cycles, only then will the advantage of zero tail pipe emissions be beneficial in the long run, otherwise we are just shifting the source of emissions elsewhere
@DissanaikeMD @docpark More than the instrument, I revere and often quote Samuel J Mixter: ‘A true surgeon is never fearless. He fears for his patients, he fears for his shortcomings, his own mistakes, but he never fears for himself or his professional reputation.’
@theliverdoc The Indian generic pharma is a hit n miss in my opinion. Can’t really trust which ones are good. I would suggest this book to know more about the malpractices of the industry in the early 2000s and 2010s. Eye opening to day the least. https://t.co/9N6Ii6C59r
@netshrink@Jasonphilip8 Given a hammer, every problem starts to look like nail. This brings to fore the need for Evidmece based medicine in today’s practice of medicine.
