I have completely changed my views on secondhand non-vegan clothing/accessories.
It doesn’t matter if you’re not directly supporting the industry, wearing it at all validates animal exploitation for human gain.
What veganism books would people recommend? I am interested in the sociological side of veganism, as with “A feminist/vegan critcal theory” which I am very excited to read (once it’s delivered).
@GothamReporter I guess where I differ is there are lots of domesticated animals in shelters, not getting the love and care they deserve. I need to think on this more.
@GothamReporter I definitely feel this to some degree. I’ve currently got a cat that I’ve had since long before I was vegan (he is old man :c) but don’t think I’ll be getting another pet in the future.
I don’t feel as strongly as you, I think, but it does feel very weird.
@plant_xbasedx@Skye_Melissax I’ve had some very heated discussions with non-vegans about climate change, thinking they’d be open to veganism if they knew this fact. No. They don’t give a fuck.
