@MothCathedral 6. i don't idolise "leaders" as if we had any. we believe only the working class has power to liberate itself and it's not something "led" . if you make the working class dependent on any leader/institution you will fail to achieve a free and autonomous communist society
anarchism is the ideology alot of baby leftists get into because it never really succeeded. It’s easy to idolize anarchist leaders when they never had to make hard decisions. It’s easy to side with the rebellion than the winners.
@MothCathedral 5. without a proper liberatory framework, you can have a dozen more revolutions but regardless of where it is, as long as statists hijack it, they will reformulate a hierarchical model of society which inevitably translates from political to the economic and recreate classes
my thoughts on elections are:
-there's no harm in voting
-one vote has miniscule weight (in hungary 1/6 million who vote)
-election results will never bring liberation but not all parties are equally bad
-don't waste your time on campaigning for parliamentarians
it's always a lesson of twitter which i have to learn is ppl quote tweet one tweet out of a discussion of about 30 tweets in which i explain the position and then they see it just out of context and reply like im some insane right-wing person. but i mean whatever
@UlyssesBungalow@FreedomFlaming0 well best i can do is my own vote and maybe talk to family and friends about it, for mass campaigning I'd actually campaign for something i believe in and not something i am presented with in the electoral system i hope you understand
@UlyssesBungalow@FreedomFlaming0 yeah but campaigning sucks and voting is easy. to win over a vote you'd have to spend a lot of effort and time better spent on anarchist prefiguration. but simply voting is pretty effortless for me not to mention mandatory
that im vegan and don't have to convince myself that eating carcasses of sentient beings is morally right, environmentally friendly or even remotely healthy :))
@UlyssesBungalow yeah this is true but I'm not an inuit and i can sustain myself without harming others. it wouldn't make sense to ask people to go vegan who couldn't do so due to geographic or health restrictions
