Living with cystic fibrosis means that you are restricted to meeting other people with CF because of the cross infection policy
I’ve been speaking to @JamesH675 for over 3years now. So when he said he was in the area yesterday, we decided to go for a safe social distanced walk!
Can you believe that us lot with cystic fibrosis have to pay for our prescriptions when other people who have diabetes, for example, dont!
Here’s what we can do about it 💛
Come on England! We’re slacking 😮💨

I live with reactive hypoglycaemia, which means that eating the right kinds of foods are extremely important 🤓
We are talking low carbs, high fat and high protein. Some carbs are ok depending on where they are on the glycemic index…
So that’s why in this weeks video, I do some cooking, I make a “low GI’ meal and just generally experiment with foods, all whilst checking my blood sugar levels with the libre
If that sounds of interest, check out the YT video below 👇

@notchachezfries I feel like it’s actually accentuated the reactive hypos! It’s gotten worse since I started, but could be a coincidence. I did see it was on the side effects list for trikafta though (just hypoglycaemia, not reactive hypos!)
So not only do I have cystic fibrosis, but I also have reactive hypoglycemia 📉
I’ve talked a bit about this on here and YouTube before but just a quick refresher!
Reactive hypoglycemia is often thought as “pre diabetes”…
Last weeks video you saw me applying the freestyle libre I was sent out to check my blood sugar levels. This week, I show you week 1 of the libre and I experiment with different foods and snacks etc to see what kinda stuff impacts my glucose levels!
I am back on YouTube! ⚡️ First video is a heavy topic, talking about disenfranchised medical trauma 💉
The intention is to reassure others that how you feel is valid 🧡 (1/4)
