The reported FIR against 35 FMG doctors in Rajasthan for peacefully protesting for their rights is deeply disturbing.

They were on a hunger strike not a riot, not violence or vandalism.

If doctors peacefully raising legitimate grievances are met with FIRs, the Rajasthan Government must answer a basic question what exactly was their crime?

Suppressing a peaceful protest cannot be the answer to a genuine grievance. The government must come forward, disclose the legal basis of these FIRs and engage with the doctors.

A Message from Future Doctors to Private Medical Colleges

The fee structure shown for Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital, Udaipur raises an important discussion about the affordability and transparency of private medical education. The displayed structure lists several DM/M.Ch. programmes with tuition fees of up to ₹25 lakh per year, along with hostel charges of ₹4 lakh per year for the listed courses.

If high-fee private medical colleges increasingly see PG, DM/M.Ch. and eventually even MBBS seats remaining vacant until later counselling rounds, it deserves serious attention from regulators and policymakers.

Future doctors and their families are clearly looking for transparent fee structures, reasonable costs and no unnecessary additional financial burden.

This is an important message for NMC, MCC and state counselling authorities: fee structures and additional charges in private medical colleges should be transparent, regulated and student-friendly.

Bringing together researchers and academicians under the banner of “Tradition Meets Science for a Healthier Tomorrow,” the session commemorated three days of intensive experimental training, insightful discussions, and scientific exploration.

The successful conduct of PREX-HOM 2026 was supported by the dedicated leadership, guidance, and encouragement of Dr. Subhash Kaushik, Director General, CCRH, and Dr. K. C. Muraleedharan, Deputy Director General, CCRH, whose continued support and direction greatly contributed to the successful organization and scientific objectives of the workshop.

The valedictory ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Pralay Sharma, Director, National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH), Kolkata, alongside Dr. Arti Soren, Assistant Director and Officer In-Charge, DACRRIH Kolkata, and Dr. Gurudev Choubey, Scientist-4, DACRRIH.

A comprehensive workshop report highlighting the hands-on sessions, technical deliberations, and overall outcomes of PREX-HOM 2026 was presented by Organizing Secretary Dr. G. V. Narasimha Kumar.
