Lucas casually turns the page of his book— not that he can comprehend it very well. It's a bit over his head, considering his education stopped somewhere in middle school, but he's doing the best he can with it.
"For?" he asks.

God, Carl really knew how to get under Lucas skin. He turns his downturned-eyed stare on Carl, face void of emotion save for that tiny crease between his brows that always seemed to give him away.
"How about you just sit with me," he says.
