When two people go through the same thing and one turns out evil and the other good, why is that. They both had to justify the reasons for how they live, is the evil living in cowardice or the good in naiveness? They both have been treated cruely so why are they different?

You can say free will but The 2 types had to justify why they choose either? They both feel justified in how they live, one says I need to make the world better so others don't feel the pain I did, the other says the world needs to feel my pain, they need to suffer like I did.

What is the essence of free will, two people can live the same lives but one turns out evil. What made them decide to be bad instead of good even if their life was good. They had to have weight out all the pros and cons as well as the other one. But they decided that evil was it.

It would make sense if the world was linear but it's not, why?
