@VFTNinian Again, not saying he’s a bad footballer and he’ll always have masses of respect from me for how he tried to pull us out of the doldrums last season but I just don’t think he works on his own in our system. Him and Robbo maybe? Otherwise Robbo/Davies are the far better options 2/

@VFTNinian He just strikes me as a classic #9 which works great when you’re pinging pinpoint crosses into the box or playing with a superb strike partner (ala Bothroyd/Chops) but as a lone striker in a patient, possession based system I feel he’s always going to struggle. 1/

@VFTNinian I get the idea behind possession based football but, fk me, why can’t we play the ball forward sometimes?! Ball went backwards too much and when it did go forward there was no support or clear plan. Controcersial maybe but Salech doesn’t work in our system. Hopefully just a blip!
