I compose most of my stories and pictures while listening to music. Tonight, I was enraptured in Deborah's Theme from one of my favorite films of all time.
"What are you doing here, Richard?" Gordon asked warmly. "You must rest after your trip."
Richard said, "I can't stop thinking about the terrible things the diesels said about us. It was awful, Gordon."
Poor engine, Gordon thought. He knew how cruel the diesels could be.
I had a dream about a feature animated film about Foghorn Leghorn, and it was the greatest film I’d ever seen. Harrowing, beautiful, and emotional, and with an amazing soundtrack. I remember a scene where Foghorn failed to save a young chick from a fox, saying “I ain’t no hero.”
"Your line used to be run by other engines," said Oliver. "They were bigger than you but smaller than us."
"Yer foolin'," Mike replied.
"It's true," Oliver laughed. "Perhaps you will meet Duke one day."
"There's a Duke on Sodor?" Bert asked innocently.
12 years apart. College, medical school, two kids, and lots of toil and sacrifice in between. Some wins and many losses, but loving life more than I ever have. In the first picture I was a naive college student, and in the second I’m a dad, doctor, and husband. I am so blessed.
