'They're nice' isn't a reason to stay in a relationship. Nice is the bare-minimum for a human being. If you're trying to think of reasons to stay with someone and 'but they're really nice' is all you've got, I'd question whether they're right for you. You deserve more than 'nice'
@softestpunk It's not much... but it helped. Your feelings and beliefs are no more or less valid than the next person. I tell myself that every day.
No one knows what the hell they're doing half the time. So why should anyone else's views hold any more weight than yours?
@softestpunk I used to have this exact same problem, especially if I was trying to express that I was hurt or upset. Now, every time I want to say something that people may not like, I have this little mantra in my head reminding me 'your feelings and opinions are valid'.
