A couple of close-up photos of the Pakistan Navy Hangor class AIP submarine reveal several interesting features. The Hangor was built by China for its all-weather ally, Pakistan.
Most prominently, the non-penetrating optronic mast showcases a distinctly angular and rectangular design, indicating an effort to reduce the radar signature of this next-generation surveillance equipment. Keep in mind this should be the only object protruding from the water when the Hangor operates near the surface.
Second, images also confirm anti-torpedo decoy launcher openings at the extreme aft of the hull, highlighting the incoporation of a passive defensive feature not always found on submarines. There appear to be six such openings for anti-torpedo decoys.

IW is a new domain of warfare, not just an extension of PR and social media battles. I’m not saying no one is doing anything, but whatever they are doing is abysmally inadequate.
Till the time we move ahead from ‘influencer and reach’ mentality as solution to fight the menace, we’ll not be able to tackle it effectively. Doctrines have to be built, teams have to be dedicated, funds and sovereign support needs to get involved and then finally, be patient.

Making a post viral is neither a solution nor difficult. But that’s the loop we are stuck in.
