Dare i say it?
This grant scandal is Wood Splitter-level stuff. It’s the exact sort of scandals that governments do when they’ve gotten too comfortable
If the same company administering a government grant program also offers to write grants for applicants (for a fee) in order to “help” applicants get one of those grants (which, again, the company itself DECIDES)…
…then there should be government resignations. AT MINIMUM.
@Jeremy_Baker I haven’t posted to Twitter for a bit but I gotta think even I — a scandal-ridden piece of machinery purchased for no good reason by the government — outrank Chip Wilson
Why this tweet from this account? Well the political trial is out of the headlines & Wood puns got boring so I thought I’d try weird questions for a while
I’m curious: if you took a single ant and transported it away from its own colony to another park… and then set it down on another ant hill— would it be accepted by the other ants and integrated? Attacked by them and killed? Shunned?
What does an office look like without FOI?
There’s an example pretty close to home: the BC Legislature’s Speaker. Without FOI looking over his shoulder he gorged on trips, magazine subscriptions, wood splitter… hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The best advice for journalists is always “follow the money”... or at least follow the people following the money! Who would have guessed the trail would lead to a wood splitter? Gotta be a career highlight.
