Arvia shawl by @Moochka_uk. Knitted in an undyed blend of merino, cashmere and silk from Chester Wool and @RowanYarns Kidsilk Haze. It’s a triangle shawl with a deep lace border. The yarn combo is incredibly light and luxurious.

As of this Wednesday 25th August the shop will again be open 4 days a week. We are open Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. 11am to 4pm.

The website is staying! You can browse and BUY most of the Pittenweem shop. Postage is free on orders over £50.

From this week’s Show & Tell a gorgeous mitred blanket in @jamiesonsofshetland Spindrift 4ply. Knitted by Fiona (not me sadly!) this is a HUGE blanket. Comfortably heavy and robust.

This is an aran weight version of City Block Shawl.⁠ The pattern is written for 4ply, so mine has come out HUGE. I'm using a discontinued aran weight yarn I've been hoarding in my stash. ⁠Love it!

New Opal 4ply sock yarn has arrived! Jungle Fever is the annual Rainforest collection now in its 17th year. These are classic 75/25 wool nylon blend in a fine 4ply thickness. Great fun to knit as the colours and patterning come together.

A new batch of hand dyed yarn from Iolair Yarn has arrived! The colours are glorious - rich, glowing and semi-solid.
Gigha 4ply is a merino/silk blend with a high sheen.
Luing 4ply is an alpaca/silk/cashmere blend with a soft drape and halo.
Easdale is a DK versions of Luing

WiP update on the blog! Not much progress across the projects... Still working on my giant sofa shawl and linen stitch cowl and I've started another cowl for myself. I have started a new shawl for the shop and (drum roll) I've knitted a sleeve!
