@FaithfulSciGuy @educator4ever36 Absolutely incorrect. There are 13 categories and autism can affect coping, not necessarily academic ability. If a student struggles with emotional regulation it can affect their success. The IEP mitigates that. It doesn't mean a child is not capable.

@educator4ever36 No, the IEPs are usually for autism and these kids need more support, hence a SpEd teacher and GenEd teacher. It works successfully because the kids have support. IEPs are not only for those failing or with uncontrollable behaviors.
