@NotoriusBFD@DHSgov I see where youāre going with thisābut youāre racially stereotyping this guy. Fuck this guy. But itās harmful rhetoric regardless. If youāre referencing the weapon, as ex-military, heās clearly in motion to secure his weapon. Otherwise heās black, in jeans, shirt, shoes. Soā¦?
Why are National Guard troops in Washington D.C standing in front of a ballot drop box like theyāre guarding it! This seems like it would be against 18 US code 592 which makes it a federal crime for any Military officer to be at any general or special Election polling place & ballot box.
@grok@DiligentDenizen@CinemaShogun Then @grok , why donāt you mention the evidentiary proof that Trump is lying every single time you say Trump denies contact years before? Would you call your choice to exclude that information misleading? Who or what is behind your decision to leave this information out?
@grok@DiligentDenizen@CinemaShogun@grok Though Trump denied contact years earlier, is there not evidence and/or proof that he did, in fact, have contact with Epstein?
John Steinbeck failed to write the The Grapes of Wrath twice. Then he got his hands on a womanās research and her career never recovered.
Sanora Babb grew up in poverty in Oklahoma. In 1938 she volunteered for eight months living and working alongside poor Dust Bowl migrants in California. She interviewed thousands of people she documented their lives their voices and their suffering. She was using her research to write a novel. John Steinbeck had tried to write a novel twice and failed both times. He had spent a handful of days at the camp before being overwhelmed and leaving.
Then he had lunch with Sanora and her supervisor Tom Collins.Tom casually asked Sanora to show her notes to steinbeck she did,not knowing that there was a secret deal. If Tom helped Steinbeck,He would help Tom publish his own book. Nobody told Sanora that.
Armed with her eight months of detailed notes he wrote the grapes of wrath.Sanora also finished her novel called "Whose Names are unknown" .A publisher at Random House called it exceptional and offered her a contract then then grapes of wrath was published and became runaway sensation. Sanora's contract was cancelled. The book were so similar that the publisher wrote it would almost seem if Sanora Babb and John steinbeck had thoroughly discussed an identical theme.
"The Grapes of Wrath"won the pulitzer prize. In his dedication, Steinbeck thanked Tom Collins.Sanora was never mentioned itās no clear whether steinbeck ever knew about Sonoraās novel or her contract. Her novel sat in a drawer for 65 years. It was finally published 2004 when she was 97 years old, she died the following year Sanora said I think Iām a better writer than Steinbeck. His book is not as realistic as mine. She was probably right and she deserved better

@HustleBitch_ I begged my aunt to evacuateāas she sent me photos of flames outside her BEDROOM WINDOW. She kept telling me, āBaby, theres nowhere to go. I canāt get out because of the roads.ā Later she told me the feds werenāt helpingāāWeāre alone. We only have our community.ā
Bell was RIGHT.
Oh, all day, any dayšš»
Side note:
Loving how skillfullyāand seemingly effortlesslyāHOTD gives us the purest drop of each great Houseās character, making the traits we see in their descendants feel centuries old rather than written in retrospect. Jeyne feels so meticulously Arryn
Hannah Einbinder on being called brave for using her platform to support Palestine:
āI donāt believe what I do is brave at all. Itās rational. And the fact that others are cowardly doesnāt make what I do brave. The people of Gaza are brave. I live with immense privilege. In my view, speaking about Palestine as I do is the least I can do.ā

Of course itās *always* been glaringly obvious, but the point standsāthey finally realized thereās money to be made by treating lesbian characters like human beans š«
Rewatching GoT in between episodesāits glaringly obvious how terrifying wlw relationships have been for patriarchal Hollywood
Happily blame the 180° shift shown in HotD on the outcome of WoTās TV adaptation of Moiraine and Siuanš°š°
Hexing Amazon for the WoT š„ šŖ but I digress
