I had a great little family vacation but it's time to get back into the swing of things so let's get the stream going! I'm pretty much done with BO7 outside of the expected video content from me so let's hop on MWIII!

@_kojo___ Your point lacks nuance. The general topic of SBMM isn't black and white and I don't treat it as such. I push back heavily against this specific implementation because I hate this current implementation.
@The_One_Boom I'm generally more of a Treyarch/SHG fan and I agree with this take. I was looking forward to a change of pace with an IW style TTK for a year of better multi-kill potential and more powerful & satisfying (yet balanced) one shot kill weapons.
@TheDonDolla91@tommystebbs This literally is my full time job and it's a dream job for me. I love making the content, even when I'm not enjoying the game
Part of me can't wait for the MW4 Beta to end so I can take a break from CoD for a while. There are elements I like about the game itself but I feel like I'm fighting an invisible algorithm more than I'm fighting the players and I'm beyond exhausted with this.
@_kojo___ This is a strange claim you're making. I guarantee nearly all of us in the higher skill brackets would notice this immediately if they silently turned SBMM off.
The SBMM used in BO2 wasn't even remotely comparable to the modern system, despite them calling the new system "classic inspired" so of course it wasn't something I cared much about. I was well aware of it and how people could reverse boost for "bot" lobbies but it never bothered me playing normally in pubs because it didn't feel oppressive. It does, however, feel oppressive at my skill level in the MW4 beta. I'm not just picking SBMM out of thin air as the thing I want to critique; I've already uploaded many hours worth of very detailed constructive feedback on so many elements of the beta and its gameplay so I'm more than capable of handling nuance with this.
I'm not burnt out. I'm craving a good CoD experience. Black Ops 7 offered that experience with open matchmaking and I absolutely loved it and wished I had more time to play it before Season 5. Now I suddenly don't want to play it at all and the only factor that changed was the matchmaking and disbanding lobbies.
@Fiend2Society@Marksman I'm sure they could get it into a more workable starting point at least but I doubt there'd be enough time to collect enough playtime data to iterate and fine tune pre-launch so I'd bet there'd still need to be quite a bit of early weapon balancing in the first several updates
Sure and you know myself and many others like me will continue to push back as our experience is being actively and artificially sacrificed to make that happen so we have every right to complain about it. A consequence of this choice they’re making is they’re going to have to live with all of the negative press and growing apathy from many of their most influential and dedicated fans and that’s something I don’t think their metrics account for. I also don’t see this as a black and white issue. There are better ways to balance this to find a middle ground so neither side feels totally neglected or alienated.
I've been playing the Open Moshpit almost exclusively in the MW4 Beta but I keep checking in from time to time with normal modes and every time I do, I have a terrible time. The only way I see myself enjoying this matchmaking is if I party up and stomp which I'd rather not do.
