Very very happy to have won this! It's been an awesome couple of weeks, and very eye opening in places too.
A big thanks to the @imascientist team and to all my fellow chemists from the Molecule zone @lawebster10@Ciorsdaidh@alanmccue and twitterlessMartin who battled it out. https://t.co/5J35BArYRw
Terrific effort from the boys today. Special mention to the one or two who hadn't played before. The whole team did their school proud. @FCC1860 were delighted to to be able to support the boys.
Having a really great day at the @RSCPerkin - wonderful to be back in person at last too!
@allanjbwatson is kicking off the afternoon with a tribute to his amazing postdoc supervisor (Sir @dmac68).
Can’t beat chips from the Blue Lagoon!

That’s another semester of teaching labs finished @StAndrewsChem. I’ll see you all next academic year and we’ll do it all again!
Thanks again to our amazing technical staff who keep this place running.
Maybe a niche question, but does anyone know of an Anssems Trailers dealer up in Scotland? Been trawling the internet for quite a while and a number of potential leads are fruitless.
There are dealers down in England, but all quite far away. Hoping to find one closer to home.
@JessTheChemist@ejoneshelp If a replacement is being talked about, make sure you have accurately weighed the ring, and the replacement is of equal or greater weight too.
@JessTheChemist@ejoneshelp Oh no! That’s rubbish. Rings that size should have been cast rather than soldered or welded (which clearly is the case given how clean the joint is). I’d be asking for that to be inspected by the hallmarkers and would expect a full replacement or repair foc.
