transmasculine outlaw. turntable hugger. bulldog chaser. Senior QA engineer @get_plume. alum of @twitter @soundcloud. i hate high fives. all ramblings my own.
In honor of #TransAwarenessWeek I wanted to share the news that I started hormones (testosterone) 4.5 months ago!
First things first: My name is still Clem and my pronouns are still they/them. I’m on a low dose (topical - gel) so changes have been intentionally gradual.
This is trash — just like the lawmakers who wrote it up, propagated this discrimination & spread misinformation to justify their hate and ignorance.
Despite this trash, trans people deserve access to healthcare and autonomy over OUR bodies and lives.
I’m grateful for the opportunities, the connections, the triumphs, the rejections, and all the moments that spanned the last 4 years and 10 months. I’m off to work in Trans healthcare tech where I will serve my community directly. It’s been so very real. Theythemclem OUT ✌🏻 🎤
Tomorrow is my last day at Twitter. What a wild (nearly) 5 years it’s been. I came to Twitter as a contract recruiting coordinator, not expecting to stay past a year and a half-long contract. Thanks to @badkeb @jonball7 for seeing my untapped potential and taking a chance on me.
You opened doors and brought me into the fold “full-time”. It’s not my nature to toot my own horn but I know I played a big part in making Twitter a better, more Trans-inclusive workplace. I’ve done a lot of unpaid work behind the scenes and also excelled at a fast-paced day job.
Rewatching the L Word with new eyes/experience and Max has visible facial hair after only being on T for a few weeks. I’m here to tell you ⏩👏🏻 that 👏🏻 ain’t 👏🏻 how 👏🏻 it 👏🏻 works 👏🏻
