All we get from today’s so called science is a bunch of bullshit. There are so many things we all miss as coaches and “scientists”.
Treat athletes as individuals and watch how much better and faster they perform!

I am heartbroken and horrified by the tragic loss of Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, who were taken from us in an act of violence.
Melissa was a good friend and we started in politics at the same time and were always there for each other. She was a true public servant to the core, dedicating her life to serving Minnesotans with integrity and compassion. Melissa’s legacy will endure, but today we grieve deeply. John’s and my prayers are with their children, their loved ones, and all who are mourning this devastating loss.

@JasonAvedesian The root cause of any injury is the individual athlete’s ability to absorb, store, and release forces properly. When programming is individualized, there is a decrease. When hundreds of athletes at a school all do the same programs, the risk remains the same or increases.
@GeoRebekah@Auntie_Bette@jimstewartson If true, wouldnt it have been better for you to do a quick video during the movie showing the screen and the audience/empty seats?
That would be more believable.
@ALTIS When we look at the entire motion, the neutral pelvis posture is one variable.
Femur extension at pelvis is limited. This runner is merely picking up their feet & putting them down at the speed of the treadmill.
Do you consider that leg posture/ROM) a benefit or limitation?
@tjthompson@StuartMcMillan1@ALTIS There are always exceptions. And regarding exceptions, most people will say if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
Another question to pose is how much faster will this 12 yr old get? Second, what does it cost her to be inefficient despite being so fast no and in the future.
9 things to do instead of icing:
1) Protect
2) Compress and elevate
3) Avoid anti-inflammatory meds
4) Restore range of motion
5) Load the injury
6) Soft tissue mobilization
7) Remain positive
8) Improve circulation
9) Return to activity
@brettboettcher1@singhcredible So for clarity, are you saying reducing inflammation does not aid in the healing process? And are we to take from your words that in contrast, inflammation actually helps the injury heal faster?
Do u conclude that it’s best to use heat to increase inflammation instead of ice?
@kishanEBA@PratikxPatel Ask your local registered dietician who can see your 8yr old and identify the 8 yr olds nutrition shortfalls. This is really true for anyone. Blind recommendations are just based on personal biases. Every person is unique.
@JoJoFromJerz @BarbVina1 A cortisone shot provides temporarily relief but doesn’t solve the issue. The gym & your computer can cause tightness in your rotator cuff. Did you consider stretching the front of your shoulder, forearm, & fingers when you’re at the computer? Root cause may not be the shoulder👊🏾
@Tier1athlete If i’m reading this correctly, are you stating it is not possible to develop absolute speed for longer than 80 meters and that max speed can only be maintained for 1-3 seconds?
Whats is the #1 reason coaching cues are not enough? It’s not what you think!
Just wait for it!
It’s time to transform runner coaching so every runner can achieve what’s available to them based upon their body!
