Last Sunday a @CityofBulawayo professional colleague of mine drove on a newly completed section of the Bulawayo to Victoria Falls road.

At approximately the 25km peg outside Bulawayo he was horrified to see workers patching a section of the new road which is already breaking up. The photograph taken by this person is attached.

I have received numerous reports that many of the contractors on this road are doing a shoddy job and this appears to be proof of this.

The construction of this road is rapidly becoming a national disaster. Next year we have the @ICC Cricket World Cup being played in both Bulawayo and Victoria Falls. If this road isn’t properly constructed and completed by then it will be grave national embarrassment.

I urge the Ministry of Transport @MinistryofTID to urgently investigate and deal with the situation.

In my professional legal opinion, everyone who has received one of those cars has committed a criminal offence and may be liable to be imprisoned for up to 25 years in jail and to pay a fine of up to US$500,000.
