I’m not comparing us to Brighton, but for example, their first goal against Leicester comes from a situation that could’ve been set up by us.

What goes through my mind constantly is the fact that Spurs aren’t top of a group shared with the Europa League winners and the best team in France after PSG.

As I was rewatching the game I realised that, as well as against Marseille, a back 5 seems impossible to penetrate for Spurs.

Passing the ball around between defence and midfield. While the opposition presses they wait for a pass to be done the front 3, and jump aggressively.

We are very well structured, and so are they, but I insist, there’s something we lack dramatically: connecting midfield to attack. It is true that having their 3 CBs on top of our front 3 all game makes this hard, but Bentancur and Hojbjerg need to find spaces behind their CMs.
