time for variegated petunia seeds... 2!!! since none of the first batch actually worked out. I will take photos once they are more than just cotyledons. science.

it is really fun to shell a basketful of beans and then put your hands in it. beans!!! it's like the tumbled rocks bin at a museum except you can eat them.
so I found 2 variegated petunias in all the flats this year, and set them aside, and cross-pollinated them. for funsies. out of all the seeds, only a handful came up with variegation. it's not as drastic as the parents. but hey I'm having fun.
every time we grow stuff from seed, there's a couple seedlings that come up without chlorophyll. white instead of green. it might be like 2 plants out of 5000 seeds. but these orbea! there's at least half a dozen on that one tray! it's only a handful of seeds! y they do this
this raised bed is filled partially with wood chips from a tree I had taken down and partially with soil I got in bulk from a local place. it is also filled with mushrooms. idk which of the 2 materials they're feeding on but there's a LOT of them.
