1/ #Manipur is the birthplace of Polo. Dedicated to God Marjing, the bronze statue stands 122 feet tall. It is the world's tallest statue of a polo player and was built to commemorate the game of "modern polo" being originated from Kangleipak (Meitei for 'Manipur').

Marjing is the God of war, horses, polo & sports in Meitei mythology #Manipur. He & his divine creature, Samadon Ayangba,reside in the top of the Marjing hills.
Today, the colossal Marjing polo statue atop the Marjing polo complex serves as reminder of our glorious history.

2/Every morning, the princess would collect mulberry leaves and lock herself in the room. This continued until one day she emerged with a silk cloth of immense radiance and beauty, and asked her husband to sell it.
1/She came up with a plan to change their fortunes.The princess asked the soldier to prepare a room with no windows,with only a bed & a mosquito net within. No one was to enter that room. Every morning,the princess would collect mulberry leaves & lock herself in.
In fact, this bird earned its name 'Nong-in' because of its ability of knowing changes in weather conditions or cycles of cloud in the sky (Nong - meaning rain, in - meaning to follow: one knowing the rain/weather cycle).
Nong-in is the State Bird of #Manipur.

Kajenglei" or "Leitreng" is a Manipuri headdress or Manipuri headgear, consisting of eighty to a hundred brass strips,worn especially by goddesses, female royalties, dancers, and brides. It is believed to have developed during King Gambhir Singh's reign in the #Manipur kingdom.
