Floods triggered by Typhoon Maysak in China's Guangxi Region reportedly washed away a snake breeding farm, allowing around 800–900 snakes to escape into nearby villages. While officials said most were non-venomous, several cobras were also reported among the escaped reptiles.

Emergency warnings were issued as rescue teams searched for the snakes and residents were urged to stay away from floodwaters. Can natural disasters create dangers that are even more frightening than the floods themselves?

This man’s name is Prabal Pratap. Even though he is wearing a black robe, he is not a lawyer, but an overwhelmed and frustrated petitioner who spoke his mind.
Yes, his conduct undermines the dignity of the highest court in India. But why would an ordinary citizen do this, knowing full well it could amount to contempt of court? Perhaps we should consider that he is expressing the collective frustration and helplessness of many Indian citizens who feel tormented by the inefficiency of the justice system.
