NEW: California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) claimed President Trump never called him. President Trump later shared call logs with Fox News' John Roberts that he said showed a 16-minute phone conversation with Newsom on Saturday.

According to Roberts, Trump said: “The first call wasn’t answered. Gavin picked up the second call, and we spoke for 16 minutes. I told him to get things under control and stop the riots. He claimed I never called, but the call logs show otherwise.”
