Any-ratio gasoline–methanol blending is the headline: #Geely’s new-gen methanol hybrid debuts Nov 3, and the Galaxy Starshine 6 EF goes on sale the same day, supporting flexible gasoline–methanol blending at any ratio.
The Galaxy Starshine 6 EF is a methanol hybrid family sedan with single-tank mixed refueling. It uses precise fuel composition identification and a methanol concentration sensor to read the blend ratio in real time via minute current variations as fuel flows. That data goes to the ECU, which controls fuel injection and ignition accordingly.
Geely is developing dedicated models for the European market.
According to Autocar, Geely has shifted its strategy from a "brand-first" approach to focusing directly on European consumer needs.
Reportedly, Geely will next launch a flagship model codenamed Project KO11. It's a European-localized version of the Galaxy Battleship 700.
For software, Geely is localizing its Flyme in-car operating system. Executives noted that the current Flyme OS is too similar to the Chinese version. The 2nd-gen Flyme, expected next year, will be tailored for Europe with new features including multitasking, split-screen display, and expandable widgets.

Report says NIO’s self-developed large cylindrical cells will be produced by EVE Energy and Gotion High-Tech, with a small pilot batch by year-end. Mass production remains challenging for now.
NIO switched from the 4680 format to its custom 46105 design. Originally planned for the ET9, the flagship launched with CATL prismatic packs instead. NIO keeps heavy investment under the “in-house design + OEM” model.
Meanwhile, NIO is expanding CATL’s prismatic supply for ONVO and Firefly and deepening their battery-swap partnership. Large cylindricals stay a long-term tech bet, while proven prismatic batteries secure stable supply.
