🌍Today is the International Day of Action for Rivers.
Rivers sustain ecosystems, livelihoods, and communities. Yet many face pollution, over extraction, and degradation.
Something green is coming, and it’s all about movement.
We’re bringing the worlds of sports and health together to show how climate action isn’t just about the planet, it’s about our bodies, peace, and our future.
Take action this #WorldWildlifeDay and support conservation efforts in your community (like Think Green’s tree planting initiative). Together, we can ensure the wild continues to thrive.
Protect wildlife today so future generations can enjoy the healing powers of wild plants like the African Bush Mango (Irvingia gabonensis) - similar to regular mango but with fibrous flesh and seeds that are ground to make ogbono soup.
It grows in Nigeria’s tropical rainforests and is helpful in reducing cholesterol and managing weight.
Every species matters. From forests to oceans, our health, livelihoods, heritage and overall survival are tied to the survival of plant wildlife.
Meet Subomi Oyelade, one of our dedicated volunteers driving meaningful change through environmental action.
Her journey with Think Green began at our Clean & Connect event in Sept 2025.
•Encouraged responsible waste disposal using our ecobaskets.
•Contributed significantly to our programmes and initiatives.
We’re excited for the year ahead and grateful for volunteers like Subomi who make our mission possible.
Want to join us?
By joining the #PlasticFreeChallenge, you’re not only cutting down on single-use plastics but also helping reduce the hidden journey of waste that harms our planet.
Let’s rethink our choices, reduce our footprint, and push for a cleaner, more sustainable future.
Have you ever wondered where your waste actually goes after pickup?
Most plastics don’t just "disappear"; they end up in landfills, incinerators, or worse, our rivers and oceans.
To #BeatPlasticPollution, data, knowledge and collaboration are critical.
The Global Plastics Hub brings together:
📚 2800+ knowledge materials
📊 70+ plastic lifecycle indicators
🌍 2000+ members connected

Waste isn’t the problem. Ignoring it is.
That plastic bottle you threw away was not created for pollution. It became a problem when you chose convenience over responsibility.
This year, I’m committing to reducing single use plastics and carrying my reusable bottle everywhere. Because less waste, more green, better choices
