Playing with Fire: American Escalation Between Negotiation Pressure and the Threat of War
The United States is maneuvering and stalling in its negotiations with Iran while simultaneously giving the Israeli entity free rein to escalate its aggression.
Today's attack on Dahieh was carried out with an American green light. Nor is that all; the United States continues to provoke Iran almost daily through strikes on Iranian islands.
Is the United States doing this because it wants a return to war?
No. Rather, it views this escalation as necessary to push the negotiations forward.
In other words, it is a form of pressure intended to compel Iran to make concessions.
However, the United States is playing with fire through these provocations and acts of intimidation. Such actions may lead to greater intransigence rather than concessions, and they could result in a return to war or even the collapse of the negotiations altogether.
These are decisive moments, and the situation appears closer to war than to a settlement, especially if Iran follows through on its threats, preserves its credibility and deterrence, and responds to the bombardment of Dahieh by striking northern Palestine.
Trump is searching for a way out of his predicament and seeks a deal that would end the war. However, he finds it difficult to accept or endorse a settlement that does not achieve his objectives or demonstrate Iran's submission. Such a deal would represent a setback for both him and his country. Instead of weakening and subduing Iran, it would make Iran stronger and more independent from American influence, thereby damaging America's image and encouraging other countries to challenge its dominance.
What is unfortunate is that the Arab countries remain outside the course of history, serving merely as an open arena in which competing powers pursue their struggles.
When will we act as free and vibrant peoples, expel foreign powers and their agents from our lands, reclaim our authority, our independence, our identity, and governance according to our Islamic law?
When will we put an end to American and Jewish influence, uproot the client regimes of disbelief, dismantle divisive sectarian and normalization projects, and establish a righteous Islamic system that represents us, safeguards our dignity, wealth, and identity, and ends the manipulation of our destiny by foreign powers and colonizers?
Allah the Exalted says:
"And do not incline toward those who do wrong, lest the Fire touch you. You have no protectors besides Allah, and then you will not be helped." (Qur'an 11:113)
And He also says:
"And Allah will never grant the disbelievers a way over the believers." (Qur'an 4:141)

Eid Day Massacre!
On the first day of Eid al-Adha, the Israeli forces carried out a massacre in Gaza, killing 10 Palestinians after an airstrike targeted a residential building on Omar Al-Mukhtar Street in central Gaza City.
“My wife is gone, my daughter is gone, my other daughter is gone… my whole family is gone. I have no one left.”
A heartbroken Palestinian father mourns his martyred wife and children after an Israeli airstrike bombed their displaced tent in Gaza.
This is not law; it’s intimidation. Supporting Palestine is NOT a crime. If we stay quiet now, injustice wins. Stand up for Farhan Siddiqui. #ReleaseFarhanSiddiqui
Like Jameel Behram, Farhan Siddiqui was taken away for raising his voice demanding action to stop the massacre in Gaza. 150 days of abduction is unacceptable. His parents deserve answers. Pakistan Govt must stop punishing its own youth for asking questions. #ReleaseFarhanSiddiqui
