Incredible work from @mazpsychtee and @thinkingblack_ who are championing black voices in academia and beyond! All the essays I marked for the ACT essay prize showed me that the next generation of writers are bold and conscientious. Well done to everyone who took part!
We are delighted to announce we will continue our support of @thinkingblack_ for the next year.

In the midst of preparing for the next cycle of our Essay Prize, we couldn’t forget to commemorate our Creative Writing Celebration Day! Around a month and a half ago we gathered to give our Year 10 Creative Writing Prize participants their flowers💐
The prize participants were taken on college tours, and were blessed with a poetry recital by Rosa Arthur, touching on diaspora, home and loss. Last but not least were the prize announcements and presentation🏆

If you are a young creator, aged between 16 and 25, we invite you to explore the topics of Black Environmentalism and Black Futures, through digital artwork or through poetry🎨🎭
