You’re right and wrong, you are speaking from your perspective which can also be a reality for a good number of people, but the thank you part wasn’t taught for only meals, it was all round but some parents enforced the food part more strictly than others.

You were privileged to grow up in abundance and have parents who didn’t see need to enforce gratitude after meals on you, and that’s okay… but sounding insensitive about others makes you look like a spoilt brat
